I started Fern & First because I wanted every parent to have something quietly beautiful from their baby's first year — not another plastic keepsake or generic print, but a real piece of art made just for their little one.

So much of those early days disappears in a blur. The tiny hands, the soft cheeks, the way they looked at you in that exact light. A portrait is my small way of holding onto it — something you can hang on the wall and still love ten years from now.
